Where are they now?

Do you know all of your reletives on the old family tree? Well, I did not think so. While Wichita State Men's basketball continues to blossom, coach Mark Turgeon's family coaching tree is starting to branch out (pun intended).

Last season coach Jean Prioleau helped work the sidelines at Marquette University with Head coach Tom Crean, leading the Golden Eagles to NCAA basketball tournament.I believe former Utah coach Rick" the pick" Majerus, would prosper at Marquette, if he were to return to the coaching sideline. Former student, player, and pupil to the great Al Mcguire.
This 2006-2007 season Jean Prioleau will join forces with former UNI great Greg McDermott to work among the boys of the BIG XII. Iowa State presents some interesting opportunities. One of the loudest areans in the country. McDermott showcased his talents with the UNI Panthers program leading his team to national rankings and multiple NCAA births. Jean Prioleau will add a great dimension to the Iowa State program, with his energetic approach to recruting on the east coast, along with his great impact working with the backcourt players.

A partner in crime for many years Tad Boyle, finds himself in a familer place, his hometown; Greeley Colorado. A hometown hero during his highschool, Tad Boyle makes his first head coaching job: University Northern Colorado a place to keep on the radar. Boyle and Turgeon lead Jacksonville State to improvement each and every year, and we all know the great things the two coaches did together at Wichita State. The Big Sky league brings in a real jem of a coach. He works with such a spirit that reflects onto his players. Remember folks; Boyle, coached: Troy Mack,Paul Miller,Kyle Wilson,Ryan Martin,Rob Kampman,Bret Wise. Boyle understands how to teach young players the rough and tumble world of being a impact big man. GO Bears!

About two hours north of Kansas City we find Northwest Missouri State. We find Jerome Haden. Hard work, hard work, hard work. You may not remember coach Haden, yet those who went to into battle on game day, remember Jerome Haden with a warm heart. A former assistant at Newmen University, and admisistravtive assistant from 2001-2006 for Wichita Sate men's basketball, Jerome comes into Northwest Missouri with a bundle of knowledge and basketball IQ. The Bearcats may be known for football, yet keep your eye's on those seats in the basketball arena. A young coach on the rise, Haden's stock for future jobs will continue to grow.

Mark Turgeon's family tree continues to branch out. New coaches may have filled the void left by, Prioleau,Boyle and Haden but these gentlemen will be rememberd as a corner stone that helped bring bWichita ack State basketball to the national map.Go Shockers! Go Cyclones!,Go Bears!, Go Bearcats!
