Wichita State University, over the past weekend made a trip up to Canada to play a series of three NCAA sanctioned warm-up games. Click here for more news on the trip to our neighbors up north,eh.Spending a nice weekend, in Las Vegas, NV, I surprisingly found a Lindy's college basketball preivew magazine. Curious to see how my Shockers are viewed by the national media, i purchased the magazine for my three hour flight home.

Top Shooting Guards: PJ Cousinard #17 (Wichita State)
*I was surprised to see a member of the team listed here among some elite company:(Nate Funk/Creighton/#2)
(Lee Humphrey/Florida/#27) and (Chris Lofton/Tennessee/#10).
Top 10 Backcourts :
Perhaps one of the best compliments I have ever seen, about Wichita State. Lindy's posted WSU as the #2 backcourt in the enitre country!

"center Paul Miller was the Missouri Valley Conference Most Valuable Player. But guard play was just as much a reason why coach mark Turgeon's team won the conference regular season championship and knocked of Seton Hall and Tennessee (with a great guard in Lofton) in the NCAA tournament.
Juniors Sean Ogirii and PJ Cousinard could both be first-team all conference choices. Matt Braeuer and Marquette-transfer Karon Bradley, who combined for 40 starts were evyer bit as effective as well. Turgeon made the group even deeper with the summer signing of Israeli Gal Mekal." Lindy's
